People Can Fly developed Judgement

 

Not sure how I feel about this. I mean Gears was one of the few series that ended with most of the lose ends wrapped up and on a high not (not counting Judgment). Gotta say I hope they leave Marcus and the gang alone and take a greater creative license with
the universe, kind of like what Mass Effect 4 is supposed to be doing.

Epic did the MP for Judgement. PCF only did campaign.

It will never be Gears without Cliff B.as lead designer.I personally dont care for him as a public figure but he is talented.Without him the Gears franchise is a mediocre shooter.

 

I am a bit disappointed as well. Outside of Judgement (didn't play it and from the sounds of things, that was a good thing) GoW was what defined the 360. I really liked the franchise, but not really sure where else the storyline can go. The world is in
shambles. Humanity is in a severe decline. What else is there? Yeah we can do prequels like the Pendellum wars etc. but I for one am tired of prequels. I want to see what exciting new worlds that devs can come up with!

40,000: Space Marine - that was pure trash)...but the rest were good...They have a former MS and Epic Gears guy in there as well...

I'm not sure if it bodes that the next release will be in the 9 metacritic area that the first 3 full titles were able to achieve, but a high 8 score would be good enough for me...I doubt they'll bungle something so serious.

 

Warhammer 40k Space Marine was awesome, it actually made you feel like a Space Marine.

 

I'm not sure why was this hyped as much as it was. I do have to note that I am, by no means, a GoW enthusiast (the games were ok - the first one's masterful use of cover still lingers on third person shooters nowadays) but this certainly lays to rest that
Gears could be multi platform, I suppose.

I have always felt that Gears' cover mechanics were vastly outdone by Rainbow Six Vegas'.

 

@Bob, that is very, very true. In R6 you could actually kill an enemy with precision from cover.

 

Is it fair to compare the two though? I mean they are vastly different games. Then again, I kill plenty of things from cover in Gears--even in the MP. Unless I'm misinterpretation what you guys are saying.
