Microsoft account recovery

Hi,

I'm using an Xbox Series X, and for some unknown reason, it skipped the automated login and asked me to set a password before signing in. Naturally, I had forgotten the password, so I attempted to set it too many times. Afterward, I tried to recover my password, but the phone number required for recovery was no longer in use. Consequently, I had to use Microsoft's account recovery form. Since I've only used my account for Xbox, the only option was to select Xbox for account recovery. My question is, why does the form only allow selecting Xbox One or Xbox 360? I've never used those models with my account. The only Xbox I've used is the Xbox Series X, but there's no option to select it, so I assume there's no way to recover that account.

I also have an Xbox Game Pass subscription on my account, but it's currently inactive because I had to close my card due to my wallet being stolen. Now, I'm wondering if I could still receive additional charges for my Game Pass subscription even though it's inactive. Moreover, I have tried calling Microsoft's customer service, but the calls are automated and ultimately unhelpful. You can only navigate through the system by pressing numbers on your screen, which ultimately leads you back to the same website, https://account.live.com/, to 'recover my account'.

Would be nice to be able to close my Microsoft account and other subscriptions related to my account if I cannot even use my account or recover it
