Microsoft Account Recovery

Hi,

I bought an Xbox Series X just over a week ago via All Access, which meant it came with a Game Pass Ultimate subscription. Prior to buying the Xbox I didn't have an active Microsoft account, so I created one for the purposes of signing into the Xbox. Unfortunately, I can't remember the password I created, and it hasn't autosaved on my phone or PC, so I am now locked out of my Xbox account with no way to access Game Pass Ultimate. I tried resetting the password on the Xbox and it says 'there is a problem with your Microsoft account, please visit a web browser to reset it there'.

I have tried the account recovery form online, plus I've spoken to a Microsoft adviser, who told me he wasn't able to do any more than I could in terms of providing help filling in the account recovery form. I'm pretty sure I'm filling in the right information on the account recovery form, but each time I do it I get an email back saying my request was unsuccessful. I understand you can only do the form twice in 24 hours before any subsequent ones automatically decline, but I don't know what information I might be getting wrong or missing out that is causing it to reject my request for a password.

What are my options now? It means I'm sat here with a Game Pass Ultimate sub that I'm paying for but can't use, and MS don't seem to be any use helping me recover the account. I understand the need for account security but at the same time this situation is extremely frustrating.
