Microsoft Account Log-In Issue with Minecraft

I tried to log into Minecraft with my Microsoft account on the website, however it said my account did not exist. It asked me to create a gamertag like the account I had been using was a new account (cause I accidentally created a new login with the same email I used to create my Minecraft account even though I went through the login page, but it just signed me up). I've used it before, so I don't why this is happening and I fear I somehow wiped my account clean. I was hoping I could get help on how I could resolve this issue.

I don’t think it has to do with that. When I log into the Minecraft website it says that I have Minecraft purchased, it won’t let me log in with this account into the Minecraft launcher. Whenever I click log in with Microsoft or I click on my account to log in, it says that there was an issue while logging in.

I had the same issues, going round in circles. Follow the advise on this thread, then go into settings on minecraft and log out of the microsoft account, restart minecraft and log in with the child's account again. It worked for me.

this isn’t for the minecraft app, this is for the website. also i use pc version
