    My microsoft account is assigned to a family with a random gmail account, I need to be able to change my privacy settings to access online multiplayer but I am apparently a child account. I have no idea how this has happened and I've been redirected to around 4 different support sites and none of them have done anything and it's been over a month. I need to be removed from this random family since it's impossible for me to do this myself.

    I will try to message the account to try and get them to remove me from the family, but is there anything I would be able to do later if I get no response?

    Hi JudeHarcourt, I hope you're doing great out there despite the issue that you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

    If you're already an adult you will have an option to remove yourself from the family group via https://account.microsoft.com/family. However, if your account is still a child account the organizer/adult needs to manage it for you, and they will be able to remove you from the family group.

    Hi, my issue is that I have been assigned to a family with someone I don't know, so it's impossible to get removed from the family. I must be a child account since I can't access any multiplayer games or remove myself from the family.
