    microsoft account locked for no apparent reason and without a notice.


    My friend just recently created a new Microsoft account after buying Minecraft from the app store on iPhone, her and I started playing for a while and after we were done, we close the game. The day after when we wanted to get on the game again, she found out that her Microsoft account got locked, it was recently created, and she only used it for an Xbox account to play, it was so confusing that she didn't even receive an email in her Gmail inbox, since the account was created through Gmail and not outlook. After that shocker I advised her to just create a new account so we can continue playing, and surprise, the next time she logged on she found herself locked again, this went on for 2 more times and the last one she created the account and haven't use it at all yet, today I asked her if she wants to play she found the account is already locked too.
    This is very confusing, and I wanted to help her, but I couldn't find any similar instance online. So, I'm reaching out to the community for anyone to explain to me what could've possibly happened. She tried to recover one of the accounts using a phone number but whenever she tried it just says, "this verification method is not available right now, try a different one" or something like that, and that is the only verification method available.
    I hope to find an answer here for her so we can avoid a similar instance in the future.

    About your P.D. The following is just a theory. An account can be locked if Microsoft detects that a device or IP address created multiple accounts without apparent reason. However, the reasons why an account can be locked may vary.

    Most the questions are easy the ones I missed are absolutely stupid trick questions. Everywhere I go looking for support be it a phone call or posting on some forum I'm really growing to hate this company. So you can't help me either thanks for nothing.

    I've done everything asked of me the only thing that held back my review was that stupid questionnaire that you think is so easy . The question I missed last was true or false if there weren't enough complaints a band can be lifted. How the hell am I supposed
    to know that **** and why am I going to take the time to look it up when I've already wasted an entire morning calling messaging and screwing with you stupid people to try and fix this issue.

    The enforcement team do not use the forums.

    An email would of been sent to the address linked to your account telling you why or you can check on the enforcement site
    here where you can also file for a case review if eligible.

    The questions you have to answer are extremely easy & are to make sure you are familiar with the TpU/CoC. Every answer can be found in the ToU/CoC.

    Sometimes you may get a thank you message if action is taken against someone due to a report you filed but this is very rare.Usually you will not be informed of the results of any report you file so have no way of knowing whether someone has received enforcement
    action due to a report you have filed.
