Microsoft account linked to wrong Gamertag

Hey everyone,

So recently a friend asked me to create an Activision account so we could play Call of Duty on cross platform. I created the Activision account and it changed my gamertag display on the Activision platform; however, my Xbox gamer tag was unchanged... I then
linked my Microsoft account with the Activision account and it completely wiped any access to my original gamertag/profile and now when I sign in it automatically signs me in on this new gamertag/profile. I checked to see if my old gamertag is available and
it’s still locked with my account and avatar but I have no way of signing into my old account because it keeps taking me to this new account that was changed. Now everytime I sign in on my Xbox or my Microsoft account via a computer, it takes me to this new
profile which has none of my previous games, friends, account information etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

unfortunatly if there are issues directly related to Microsoft accounts you have to rely on advocacy Team doing there Job, and they surely dont drop customers just like that.

Hello Timmythedinosaur, as this forum is public viewing and unfortunately as independent consultants we do not have access there is some data and neither your account, we can not specify the actual reason or accurately check this issue of your account with Gamertag.

I would suggest setting up Xbox Live support agent.

The agent would be able to find your account by searching your Gamertag. If you can fortify your account, they'll let you know what email to use to sign into the right account.

I wish you had access to the service request # to see for yourself the pain that I as a customer have to go through. Regardless , I just wish my account gets fixed - 6 months for a fix.......if I had a brand new account and lost it I wouldn't care.

I'm shocked that this case is taking more than 6 months, after a few months the xbox support team didn't bother contacting me

I have to keep chasing up.
