Microsoft account Hacked, Minecraft Java account Stolen, Microsoft Minecraft Java account...

Hi there. I spent a good 3 weeks a while back fighting between support teams from both Mojang and Microsoft trying to get my minecraft account back into my hands. This minecraft account has been with me since 2014. I shed enough frustrated tears, and this is my last ditch effort for clarification not just for myself, but for everyone in my situation.

I know many people who have had this happen to them, their microsoft accounts get compromised somehow some way, and the person who got in takes the minecraft account associated their Microsoft account. From communications from both support teams I have gathered;

(Keep in mind these are not fact, just what has been told to me)

mojang:

-Once you migrate your mojang account from mojang TO microsoft. It is no longer in their possession. At all. (Presumingly all data from your account on their end is lost?)

-They cannot do ANYTHING to help once migrated

Microsoft:

- Once migrated from mojang, that minecraft account is STUCK on that microsoft account and cannot be moved

- Once the account has been compromised, all you can do is fill out an account recovery form with the info you have.

- If you bring up your minecraft account to Microsoft support, even when it has been migrated to Microsoft, Microsoft support will send you to MOJANG support.

This is what has happened to my personal account:

My account got hacked into thru my email, once they got in they swiftly changed the email, removed my phone number and reset my initial info to a preset of some random name and pfp. I, at this time was on a minecraft server on my account and was getting private messages from someone I didn’t know saying I would have add them on Discord to get my account back. I was confused and concerned so I left the server after blocking him, and relaunched my game to find that I couldn’t login to my Microsoft account. I contacted Microsoft though their live chat asking what to do, and they told me to change back my email and password everything should be fine. I asked her repeatedly if my minecraft account would still be associated with my Microsoft and she told me it could not be moved from account to account, and I’d have to wait the 30 days for the email to come back. I tried to login with the new password before the email change request and it prompted me to make a Xbox gamer tag.

I wait the 30 days and get back to my microsoft account to find that it it still prompting me to make a new Xbox gamer tag. I select a random one and hope my minecraft account is still connected. It was not. It was prompting me to buy the game. I check my Microsoft account to find my account still had my birthdate, and other credentials still on there. So I know that account was the same one I used to own.

I contacted both over the phone and live support on Microsoft’s end and they said to contact mojang support at this point I’m just confused at what happened to my account, so I connected mojang over email explaining my situation. They told me there was nothing they could do once I migrated my account. I was lost for words and confused on where to go.

I contacted live support one more time for them just to give up and say there isn’t anything they could do nor is there a person more qualified to help. This is when I lost all hope.

Keep in mind I still have provided the email I used to create my minecraft account through mojang, my receipt and transaction ID’s broth from PayPal and Mojang, the email I used to make my Microsoft account and the exact date I migrated my account, AND all past usernames and emails associated with the account. Even the HACKERS email. I still have access to every email used and associated with the account.

Even with all of the information provided no one would even offer to help or send me to someone who would give me a definite answer with reason. I was the one to find the email for the hacker AND the current Minecraft username. I understand that it might just be a minecaraft account, but with how old and the years spent on it, I know it holds a lot of value on websites. And just knowing someone’s making a good buck off of my account hurts.

So my question for support still reading, what can I do to get this account back? I would much rather get my account back the right way before having to go on bad websites to buy my account back. I have access to the Microsoft account still, and all my info gathered. I just need the right person.
