    Microsoft account hacked, e-mail changed and then deleted...


    Unfortunately, my Microsoft account has been hacked and my email address has been changed. I have already written to them about it and they have replied that they will investigate and help me to restore the account. A few days later I received an email that there was unauthorized access and my account was deleted... I then asked what would happen to the apps I had purchased, games, active subscriptions and files stored in the drive. Again, it was a few days before I got a reply, but the email was word for word the same. So I still haven't received an answer to my question...

    I find it a bit strange that Microsoft does not keep any backup of the accounts... Unfortunately they accessed my other accounts password and changed the email address and still managed to reset the account afterwards with the help of support!

    Many games purchased (GTA V, Forza 4, Forza 5, Minecraft etc.) and achievements in them, many purchases in the Microsoft Store, active Microsoft365 subscription, personal files in OneDrive and now everything is gone... Interesting that I've since received an email to my original email address that my active Microsoft365 subscription is about to be taken down... Hmmm interesting how that works...

    Please help me get my stuff back, thanks!

    How can I delete an account

    Hello,

    It's not possible to "delete" an account from Microsoft's servers in the traditional sense. If you have personal information on the account you can request it be deleted from the account but the gamertag that's associated with the e-mail cannot be deleted.

    If you need to change your e-mail so this specific e-mail attached to this account is usable again then please follow the directions
    here to change the e-mail associated with the account.

    i want to to completely delete this account and never see it again but i wanna use the email attached to it too

    Create another e-mail, and change this account's e-mail to this new e-mail. This will "free" your windows live e-mail for the account you really want.

    There is no way to delete an account. Even permanently suspended accounts are stuck on the system forever.

    This appears to be a deleted account situation.

    If your account was hacked, the person who did it must have deleted your account or changed the primary e-mail alias, clearing it for use on new accounts.

    When you created a new account with the same e-mail, this one is not associated with your old Xbox Profile, which is why you are having issues.

    Sadly, it seems your old account is gone, without access to verification methods or if it was deleted, it's impossible to recover it.
