Microsoft account deleted suddenly

I would like to clarify that Microsoft does not delete accounts without any reason or prior notice. There are certain circumstances that may lead to the deletion of an account, such as violating the terms of service or if the account has been inactive for a long period of time.



Regarding your concern, it's possible that your account may have been compromised or hacked, which could have led to the deletion of your account. I would recommend that you try to recover your account by following these steps:



1. Go to the Microsoft account recovery page: https://account.live.com/ACSR

2. Enter the email address or phone number associated with your deleted account.

3. Follow the prompts to verify your identity. You may be asked to provide some personal information, such as your name, date of birth, and the last four digits of your phone number.

4. Once you've verified your identity, you'll be asked to provide a new email address where Microsoft can contact you.

5. Microsoft will then review your account recovery request and contact you within 24 hours with further instructions.

This suddenly worked for me today. I deleted the account from the console and then re-added it. Not sure if that is why it is now working or if it is coincidental.

if it is a Microsoft email address (live.com, hotmail.com, outlook.com) then yes the whole account will delete including the email address.
