    Hi there, my son has tried to reset his xbox consol and managed to delete the associated microsoft account and in turn his xbox live subscription. Can my microsoft account be reactivated and the original xbox gametag be reactivated.

    The only way to delete an Xbox account is by deleting the Microsoft account attached to it.

    Close Xbox account.

    It would delete your entire Microsoft account, so anything attached to that account including your email would be deleted. There's no way to just close an Xbox account.

    You'll need to contact support. If the Microsoft Account was deleted then they will need to attach it to a new one.
