    Hello,

    as the title says, I've read that a microsoft account is deleted after 2 years of inactivity. My dads email was attached to my account and therefore as I've not played my 360 for a while the email has been deactivated by the looks of things, i still have
    my gamertag on my xbox and would love if there was some way that i could attach my email to the gamertag and save the gamertag, rather then having to start all over with the new games coming to pc using the xbox live gamertags.

    I need help from an agent to change the email on a xbox live account

    it looks like the original email attached to the account was deleted due in inactivity, is there any way to attach an email to that gamertag or is it just lost now due to not having an email attached, it would just be a shame to lose the account.

    Error code 8015D003 when signing in to profile

    I've contacted Microsoft, and while the issue was not resolved I was able to get more information. It seems that the impacted microsoft account was closed due to inactivity. This means that I will not be able to log into it anymore since it does not exist.
    Since there is nothing they will be able to do about this, is there any way that xbox can fix a gamertag that is attached to an inactive microsoft account?

    Adding to this, just because it is inactive on Xbox, does not mean that the Microsoft account is inactive. As long as they keep using the account, then the gamertag will stay attached.

    An account has to be inactive for two years now, before the account is closed.

    Also remember that just because the gamertag is inactive, doesn't mean the Microsoft account attached to it is.
