  1. Microsoft account appears maliciously 'claimed' as someone else's child.

Early this year it came to my attention that my MS account was being claimed as a child in an unfamiliar 'family'. I received some help for my issue in June of this year (fixed the age listed on the account), but desperately need further help. This person
still has me illegitimately claimed as a child under their 'family', and appears to be making suspect email addresses with my information (for reason unknown, but for which I presume are malicious) and including them as children in this family.

I have never been subscribed to a MS account as a child (originally obtained a hotmail account approx 20 years ago, as an adult... lost account to apparent account theft... now utilize gmail for personal use as MS will not return my Hotmail account), and
would never have become listed as a member of a family of someone I do not know. This has been done by somebody else for what appear to be malicious purposes (which I do not understand). Because permissions apparently need to be granted by the 'parent' "Trisha
Hacksworth" (someone I do not know, and who will not return my emails) in order to leave the family, I AM NOT ALLOWED TO LEAVE THE FAMILY, despite being an adult and having the correct age listed in my MS account. I need to have my account removed from this
family immediately. Please know that any assistance is massively appreciated.

The illegitimate family that has claimed my account -as well as hosts fake email accounts with my name on it is shown in the screenshot below. i would also like to report this 'family' or adult, as malicious, and have had poor luck using the email support
    to do so.

Apologies for the info dump, but i'm simply stumped here. I can't quite make out how someone can, against your will, hijack any degree of the functionality of your account in this way and not have an obvious avenue of recourse available from MS.

    Thank you in advance.

    Kylan

PS- would love to figure out WHY someone would do this? And further to create email accounts with my name and add them as children is again beyond me. see below

    :)

  3. Someone else's email.

    Hey there WavyBEJ,

You'll want to change the email address on the account for sure, but since you don't have access to the email address I would contact the chat/phone teams for some options.

You can contact Official Xbox Support through either the live chat option (if available) or phone team
    HERE.

Since the management of your child account is managed by the Microsoft Account family settings, Xbox support can't do much.

    You will have to
    contact the Microsoft Support
for that issue instead of the Xbox support.

    Microsoft randomly charged me £7.99

If doesn't appear here it's not on your account, check for family members accounts, if it's also not there contact your bank an open a claim trough them as that means someone else has your payment information

"Repeated Unauthorized Account Recovery or Usage" Is a Violation WHY??

Along with Klokkwork's comments on something shady going on, usually just calling in and claiming your account was stolen isn't enough to claim unauthorized usage. If you call in to report that it was stolen they check to see if anything malicious was done
    - major purchases, changing the MSA, etc. If someone tries to trick the system and makes a bunch of purchases on another console, and then claims the account was stolen so they can get a refund they won't succeed because continuing to use the content that
was refunded will result in a ban for "marketplace theft".

I think the malicious activity is really the key in determining if it is a bannable offence. -shrug-

    Gamertag

You can't get a gamertag that is claimed by someone else, even if the account is not in use
