Thanks for reaching out to us in the forums for this issue. Based on your statement, if the batter pack and wire are not compatible to your 360 controller, then please be sure that the Play & Charge equipment is specifically for the Xbox 360 controller,

Ok, 1) bot controller and p&c are for 360. 2) the battery pack doesn't fit into the battery compartment. 3) the wire does not click into controller, i have it taped in to keep it in.

Since i spent a month looking for this one, where do i find the one you quoted?

Make sure you have purchased this play & charge kit http://cf4.s3.souqcdn.com/item/2013/07/08/54/62/64/6/item_XL_5462646_2349304.jpg that is the best one for the Xbox 360 controller. the Xbox One play & charge kit will not work with it.

Are they all Microsoft official products? There are many third party controllers and play and charge kits out there. There also is a play and charge kit for the 360 and a separate one for the Xbox one. As there controllers are different also. If you can
try the play and charge kit in an Xbox one controller you will find out which you have. It is really weird that it wont fit.

Unable to locate picture of a Xbox 360 one as we no longer sell them through the Microsoft store. Biggest difference is on the end plugs into controller, is it just a connection like for android phone, or does it have a big end with a kind of HDMI hook up
in center.
