    Microphone won’t work


    So I got a brand new gaming monitor, and wanted to play Xbox with my friends online with it. But for my headphones to connect to the monitor, I needed to use the headphone jack to hear the audio. but, this meant I couldn’t speak to my friends. once I plugged the jack into the controller, I couldn’t hear through headphones or speak. what do I do?

    Hello, I am wondering if you would update the xbox one console to allow usb microphone usage. I am using one right now although I am having to use a way around it. Please enable it to make it easier to use.
    Hey there, I’m curious what you’re doing to use a USB microphone right now?

    they probably won’t change USB microphones and their use because they were originally intended to be used with games like rock band and guitar hero and anything singing related. It’s pretty much normal now for everybody to use either a wireless headset with
    mic or a wired one that plugs into the controller. I’m not sure if this is your work around, but I think there are USB to headset plug adapters that you can use if you really want the mic to work. But of course I don’t know how good that will work

    try to use the microphone with a mobile phone to verify what is the microphone, if it works it may be the control input that does not work

    Not all USB microphones works on Xbox, you may need to search for compatible microphones
