    Microphone won't work in party chat


    When i enter a party chat, I am unable to use my microphone. I can hear the other users in the room, but they cannot hear me. I have tried multiple microphones (both wired and bluetooth) and all do the same thing... They work fine when I set them up and test them in Windows, but will not work in the party chat.

    [/quote]People use party chat while playing games, Mics in party chat won't register in the game. Kinect will while you are in party chat.

    Twitch Streaming

    When you stream through Xbox there is a setting in the twitch app to include party chat. But the party members have to allow their audio to be used. If you have “Party Chat” muted on the broadcast screen (it's in between “Microphone” and “Game”), or won't have the option to include audio.

    If I use wireless headphones and connect them to my Xbox controller, can other people hear me talk?

    If the headphones have a microphone, then when you start a party with someone, then yes they will be able to hear you. If it doesn't have a microphone, then no they won't be able to hear you. Same applies if you use in game chat to talk to other gamers.

    I have unchecked the box that says "Use Kinect Microphone for Chat." I did that already, sorry for not mentioning. It will still play through the kinect and tv. However, when I make a skype call, the mic works perfectly fine. It just won't work for parties.
