    Microphone Sensitivity Setting on Xbox One


    So I bought my roommmate a nice new headset to use on his Xbox so we can crossplay games. Sadly whenever myself or our teammates say anything to him through the headset we hear this annoying **** echo as his mic picks up our voices and transmits them back to us. This isn't a mic monitoring issue as we all have it turned off.

    I need a way to lower Microphone sensitivity through Xbox and I can't seem to find the setting. It's 2021 so I find it hard to believe that Xbox wouldn't have a way to lower mic sensitivity, I mean **** even PlayStation has had that option available for years.

    I'm not hoping for that, I'm hoping for them to add it to the current line and to the xbox app for PC. It wouldn't even take a big update for them to add it I don't think, hell even just adding a noise cancelling mode like Krisp which discord has. Like I can't think of a single good reason this feature hasn't been added.

    I mean with the supply shortages it would be kind of cruel for Microsoft to make it's users wait until they can get the newest console; which most people won't be able to get their hands on without shelling out to some scalper, just to maybe get access to a basic feature that their competition has had for years in a future update.

    Ugh that sucks. Spent $100 bucks to try and make my friends gaming experience better, only to make it worse because Microsoft can't get it's **** together and add one of the most basic features that any online gaming platform should have.

    Hi there Ben welcome to the community forum! Christopher here, an Xbox fan just like you and has been on Xbox for years already. I would really love to make your day by helping you out. Unfortunately there is no settings for mics as of now maybe they will add one in the future, I totally understand the frustration, by right now we only have the mic monitoring option.
