Microphone option not there

Discus and support Microphone option not there in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; When I go to Game DVR I still don't have the option for a microphone and when I go to the shop app to see if I can update the app it doesn't do...     Microphone option not there


    When I go to Game DVR I still don't have the option for a microphone and when I go to the shop app to see if I can update the app it doesn't do anything when I click show updates. Then On shop I went to apps and hit show all and there was only like candy
    crush. Also if this helps the xbox app version I have is 15.18.14017.00000. Is this the right version? How can I get the microphone option on the game dvr? Thank you for your time and please help.

    Xbox One turning on my TV?

    there is no power options option in the Kinect settings. All I have is "Kinect on" and "Use Kinect microphone for chat". Am I missing something?

    Not able to record microphone with Game DVR

    My friend has the option to record his microphone in Game DVR, but I don't. I have 2 connected and working microphones, one is a compression mic and one is from my Razer headphones, the only option is to record game audio, no option for microphone. Any help?

    And i cant remember where to do this or not, or even if its still a thing anymore, but there was an option to test microphones on the xbox as well...also might want to check if the microphone itself is working properly (specifically the microphone)

    It does not force you to use the kinect for chat. You can turn your kinect off as a microphone by going to settings and selecting kinect and deselect the microphone option

    Microsoft haven't produced an Xbox specific microphone, no.

    The only option is either to use a headset with a built-in microphone or find a mic that can be used via the 3.5mm audio port on the controller
