    Microphone on Xbox Beta App PC is way too sensitive


    My microphone when in an xbox chat on the PC app is so sensitive it will pick up keyboard presses, mouse clicks and any other background noise and evidently is very annoying for anyone in the chat.

    Changing the gain does not help this as it only makes my microphone more quiet without actually reducing the sensitivity. This issue was present before the most recent update to the app but was able to previously be fixed by changing the gain, now after the update it does nothing (This issue is ONLY a problem with the xbox app).

    Sound also does not play through my headset when using the app with the exception of the app giving me notifications.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Microphone Sensitivity

    Hello

    Xbox does not support microphone sensitivity, microphone just run at there defaul sensitivity.

    I am using an Astro A40 with Mix Amp Pro and you can edit the Sensitivity, Mic Monitoring and Audio Profiles on the PC and they carry over to the console.

    Hi, as far as I'm aware, there isn't currently a way to alter the microphone sensitivity. However, the headset you use isn't an official Microsoft Xbox headset, so perhaps it's the hardware in that microphone/headset that makes it so sensitive, my Xbox headset
    is just fine.

    download the xbox beta app for windows 10 then get it that way, it is available from the windows store and is in gamepass for pc too.
