Microphone not working for skype-kinect-XBOneX-Stereo adaptor

Hello Guys,

I have Xbox One X, purchased the stereo adaptor 1626 for the controller.

I tried using apple 3.5mm jack earphones and bose QC35 Gen 2 with a wire option to make a skype call using the Kinect camera.

I can hear other people via the earphones, but the mic doesn't work through the earphones mic. However, the mic on the Kinect works fine, but it is too far for the other people to hear me well.

The volume options on the xbox button double click on the home page of the console is set properly (after a call with MS CSR) still the other person cannot hear me.

neither with the adapter, nor directly with the controller itself. Both the apple earphones or bose qc35 II with apple certified 3.5mm cable - micrpphone didn't work.

firmware is up to date and this wired option is for one time or every time I use it?

Also, the controllers got 3.5mm jack, does it mean I can use the apple or bose earphones with mic without the adapter?

1. Plug the stereo headset adapter into the bottom of your controller so it can also get updates.

If you're using a stereo headset adapter, plug in a headset (a headset must be plugged in so the adapter will turn on).

2. Plug the included USB cable into your Xbox’s USB port.

For Xbox Series X, the port is on the front right below the Pair button. For Xbox Series S, the port is on the front left next to the Pair button

For original Xbox One, the port is on the left side of the console, around the corner from the disc tray. For Xbox One X and Xbox One S, the USB port is on the front under the Power button.

3. Plug the other end of the USB cable into the top of the controller.

4. Instructions to install the update should automatically appear. Follow the instructions, and don’t disconnect the USB cable while the update is in progress. The process can take up to 3 minutes.

5. If instructions to install the update don’t automatically appear, you can start the process manually. To do this, press the Xbox button to open the guide, choose Profile & system > Settings > Devices & connections > Accessories, and then select the controller you want to update. On the Xbox Wireless Controller screen, select “…” to check the firmware version for your controller. If it says “Update,” select Firmware version, and then follow the steps provided.

it said no updates needed- when I connected via usb.

Now, Opened skype, made a call using kinect camera.

camera works fine, I can hear other people via earphone connected directly to my remote. However, they cannot hear me via the earphone. If I remove the earphones, they can pickup the sound from the kinect microphone.
