    microphone no longer working after latest update


    Granted, it has been a while since the latest update was downloaded to my xbox one. But I feel the need to post the following "improvement" comments that relate to my current experience with my device

    1. The microphone on my headsets no longer work since the update(s) were installed. Yes, my headsets and microphones worked fine prior to the updates. One headset is a Turtle Beach, the other is a Microsoft. On both headsets the earpiece works fine but the
    microphone no longer transmits sound. The little icon on the screen says I have a mic, but the other end hears nothing and the little icon does not flash when I speak. This used to work fine.

    2. The new user interface is crap. I expect things to move around, and perhaps get a bit difficult for a while. But this latest release is downright user hostile. Finding my way around takes too much time (at best) or is downright impossible (I can't find
    what I am looking for). Not a step in the right direction.

    Latest update downloaded, games no longer working.

    Never mind, I read through some other problems that other people were having and cleared my cache. This appears to have sorted the problem.

    Latest update downloaded, games no longer working.

    I turned on my XBox 360 tonight having not played on it for approx 1 week, my XBox immediately informed me that it needed to download the latest update which I confirmed and it proceeded to install the update.

    Once the update was done, I attempted to play Hitman:Absolution which has been in the console since the day I got it and is in no way scratched. Instead of the small box saying "Play Hitman:Absolution" It just said "Play Game" and had the default picture
    of a disc as opposed to the Hitman graphics.

    The Disc drive then proceeded to spin as if it was reading the disc but the screen just went black and wouldn't let me do anything. Even pressing the Home button on the controller did nothing. I have tried numerous times and this is all that is happening.
    I have had the same problem whilst attempting to play FIFA 12 tonight as well.

    Setting the video output to 720p on the console, gives black screen when streaming to Windows (Android is fine)

    Thanks for the help and patience, Josef.

    After installing the latest updates for both the console and app, it started working. I'm assuming Microsoft did something to make it work. 720p is no longer a problem.

    Apparently, I was wrong. See below.

    First, check that the microphone is activated in your audio configuration, second verify that the 3.5 jack of the control is not clogged with something, third if possible test in another contol and finally verify that your control has the latest updates,
    In case none of this solves try another device that has a microphone if the problem still does not work is the control
