    Hello all im after some help as my son is trying to play call of duty on his pc. We have a wired xbox one controller which is working fine, we have plugged his headset into the controller and can only get sound to the headset. His microphone is not working ive tried my headset and same thing. its showing his headset in party but he is not giving any voice chat via his mic anyone able to help? have uninstalled sound drivers, allowed mic permission etc and still nothing

    Thank you but it still didnt work. And its not just multiple controllers ive tried, its also multiple and even a brand new microphone and it still doesnt work

    Well, what happens is that I can not talk even with the Kinect connected, I do not understand why and yes, it is random when he lets me speak, one of the things that I find more rare is that in the Xbox Live Party I appear that I have a microphone connected even when I have the Kinect disconnected, and I have never received error messages about this, I already tried many things and I do not know what to do.

    Thanks for the reply! I recommend trying a
    power cycle
    of the console.

    If the problem persists, try doing a
    soft factory reset of the console,
    Reset and keep games and apps to help reset the operating system. Please note before doing this troubleshooting step, make sure to know your email and passwords for your Xbox profiles.

    Try this out and let us know the results.

    We would like to clarify what exactly is occurring on your Xbox 360 console?

    If you could mention what does not work properly about voice chat?

    You mentioned that when you connect the Kinect that you can talk to your friends, but say that this is random, and we would like to clarify that the other half of this that you're receiving error messages?
