    Mic works in party chat but not in game on Fortnite. Software has been updated.


    My son is getting really frustrated. He is playing Fortnite using a turtle beach headset, he can talk to people in party chat but in game mode he has no mic. I have tested the headset on my laptop and it works fine. We also updated the control software
    yesterday and it started working correctly, right up until the Xbox was switched off. Now today its back to doing the same thing, mic only works in party chat, not in game.

    I think it must be buggy. As I said, we updated the controller software yesterday and it began working, today we have switched the Xbox off and unplugged it for 5 minutes and now it is working. I really wonder if there is a set answer for this issue.

    It would seem that if the Xbox is switched on with the headset connected it works fine but if the headset is plugged in after start up the mic doesn’t work in game mode.

    Have you checked that he has voice chat enabled on the fortnite options? if so try turning it on and off, that works for me sometimes.
