    okay so guys and gals ive been dealing with this problem for about 2 weeks now. at first I thought it was my headset so I went and got a brandnew headaet but problem still occurs I have done and watched EVERY video on youtube ive soft reset it ive asked experts on the xboxassist website and now I'm asking you guys please if anyone can help me or has felt with this before please please comment.

    Iv done the steps you said to take an it still does it on mw2 my mic is not working in game chat on dmz iv tryed everything nothing will work it works in party chat but not game chat it works fine on vandgard just mw2 I can't get mic to work it's getting really annoying

    Controller update broke all headset functionality on day one controller

    i have this exact same issue with my day on controller like the game in headset volume stuff works but mic isn't responding at all for people to hear me talk in game chat or party chat yet if i go to skype the mic works just fine.

    Party chat should work fine whilst broadcasting. The broadcast will only pick up your mic from the party though.

    It's not party chat that is fine it's in game chat that is not working
