    Mic will not let me chat but I can hear


    I can hear myself, but people cant hear me. I can also hear them. i have set everything in my xbox to allow my people to hear me, everything is new and xbox stuff, headset/ contoller. I have trouble shot this and tried every reset recommemded. NAT is open.
    Test mic and its good on the xbox, but once i hit game chat or a party chat no one can hear me.

    please help!

    All fixed,

    i had to reguvinate the MAC address, the system will reboot then load your profile then game away!

    I forgot to add that i logged on to another xbox with my profile and had the same issue. Diffrent controller, diffrent headset, diffrent xbox.

    Do you have another headset that you can try, or one you can borrow from a friend, just to ensure that it isn't an issue with the headset?

    Another way to get more information is to start a party, and look to see if there is a microphone next to your name. If it states that it is "Connecting" or "Not connected" this might help us further help you. You also want to see if others in the party
    have the headset symbol by their name.

    To clarify my issue for comparison. I can hear other people with the Xbox One Chat Headset. They cannot hear me. In addition the mic icon in the Xbox Live Party Chat Menu is ALWAYS ON regardless of whether or not the mic is plugged in or the controller is
    on or off. The mic icon is ALWAYS ON.

    Same problem as everyone has mentioned. Mic shows I'm connected. I can hear others through it. If I turn volume up, it beeps. Mute light turns on. No one can hear me. Not in game chat while not being in a party. Not in party chat while ensuring I'm in party
    chat not game chat. Mic logo comes up that shows my mic is plugged in. My NAT is open. This is getting to be absolutely ridiculous.
