    Mic Sometimes works with Xbox


    I am using the Xbox app (On my Laptop), Xbox S, External Mic (USB), and Headset.

    A friend got this to work, but he is unavailable to help. (I Brought Mic from him he had no issues)

    I'm having issues with a cheap mic I got for my Xbox. I want this mic connected to my Xbox so I can talk to friends, but I'm having issues.

    This is the easiest way to describe this:

    Xbox Mic Connected Laptop (with Xbox App Screen Sharing) Working?

    ON To Xbox YES YES

    ON To Xbox No No <of interest

    ON To Laptop Yes YES

    HOW AND WHY DOES IT WORK ONLY WITH LAPTOP ON?

    (I checked to see if it's the Laptop mic, and it's not it. The laptop has been in another room, and the mic works)

    I'm sorry for the issue you're experiencing. To try to help you, if it's possible to connect it to your console, could you kindly tell me what type of microphone it is, if you're connecting it via cable or if you want to connect it via Bluetooth?

    Try going into the settings on your xbox to turn down the mic or the sound on your controller/headset sometimes work
