Mic only picking up voices

Since the new update my mic has only been picking up my voice no matter how loud the sound is it will not detect it if it is not a voice . Is this a new feature and can it be turned off?

Main button, go to the right on the system tab, and then enter the Audio option!

See if the mic is activated

And then put the audio monitoring louder than it is. Increase as you wish.

The higher it is, the more your microphone will be "sensitive" to picking up sounds.

But again, the mic has a voice capture software, not sounds like music and ambient noises ok?

I'm on xbox one s and i have a turtle beach headset

it picked up everything else but since the update it only picks up my voice
