Mic not working with Xbox Party Chat but is working with all other PC apps.

That generic support doesn't really apply here. The problem is with a PC microphone, not an Xbox One microphone. The Xbox App on PC detects the mic and it works if I start a party via the app, but it doesn't work in any capacity on the Xbox One for parties
or game chat.

This same issue has been ongoing for months. My son can hear his friends but his mic doesnt work.

The “fix” where you turn off the mic and push to talk in fortnite settings would occasionaly work bit now doesnt.

all other games and apps work with the mic.

The problem persists on another xbox signed in with his profile, using a different headset, so this is not a hardware issue.

other profiles on his xbox have no issues with sound/mic

this is an issue effecting certian profiles accross fortnite only party chat, xbox party chat works fine, which cant be used for crossplatform party play.

Hey. So I'm currently on Windows 10 using the Xbox Companion App, and I'm trying to join my friend's party chat (who is on Xbox One). However, when I join the party (or they join my party), I can't hear them and they can't hear me. When I speak
into my microphone, I can see the party chat flare light up, so the Xbox app is picking up my mic (but I can't see their flare when they speak). I'm using a split 3.5mm jack with an Astro A10 headset. My mic works fine on Discord and other services, but for
some reason the Xbox Companion app isn't working. I've tried changing the audio settings both on the Xbox app and Windows to other devices, made sure my privacy settings allowed my mic to be used on the Xbox app, hard resetting the Xbox app, restarting my
PC, plugging my headset/mic out and back in, messed around with my mic settings on Windows and the Game Bar. For some reason, my microphone, specifically in an Xbox One party chat using the Xbox Companion app, doesn't seem to work. Both the Xbox app and Windows
is up to date. Like I said before, the party chat is picking up my mic evidenced by the flare when I speak, but my friends can't hear me and I can't hear them. I've looked up and tried almost every troubleshoot option online and nothing is working, and it's
driving me mad. It used to work on my old PC, and I just got a brand new PC yesterday as of posting this and now the problem occurs. Anyone else having this issue? Anybody know how to fix it? Please help!

USB Mic hooked up to PC. Using The Windows 10 Xbox App for party chat. I have a separate headset (broken mic, thus the reason for using the Yeti) on the Xbox One X console. I want to be able to communicate, and the only way I'm able to, at the moment,
is the party app. My earbuds that have a mic on them works with the controller and console but the audio quality isn't very good. That's why I want to use my better headset to hear all the audio while I talk through the mic on the app. I don't know if it's
possible. Just hoping there's a work-around

At the moment, I am using a usb headset through pc. Party chats on the app work, and parties on xbox I see, through the stream, register my mic. But it doesn't transmit my voice. Which is why I'm extra confused.
