    Mic isn’t working for output only


    I have been having mic issues lately where I can hear everyone and the game, but no one can hear me. I tried every troubleshoot possible and even exhausted all attempts with xbox support. Even got a new mic and a new xbox and its the same issue. Is anyone
    else having this problem? Or most importanly, find a way to fix it???

    Then I would recommend checking the Privacy and Online Safety Settings, at least and see if there is anything set there that might be the culprit.

    Next thing I would check if your
    Privacy and Online Safety Settings.     See if the settings there are set to allow you to talk in parties.

    But also, to be clear, is this Xbox Party chat, or in game chat we're talking about?

    go to settings and accessories and assign the headset to your account; see if that helps.

    I would start with checking your NAT type, for starters. Check in Settings > General > Network Settings to see what it says for your NAT Type. Let us know and it can help us determine the best troubleshooting steps.

    This page has some details about port used for Xbox Live
    that we might have to open on your network to clear up your party issues, if NAT is the problem.
