    See if any of the suggestions given here -
    support.xbox.com/.../wired-headset-help     might help.

    If it doesn't, you may have to contact Support to request a repair as suggested in the link if you're so inclined.

    Mic is not working...

    My Xbox one mic isn't working, it says its muted and when i click it it doesn't go unmuted, any suggestions??

    Chat Headsets Inconsistently Performing

    Lil update,

    After removing the kinect, the mic now works everytime I boot up the One... so it seems to be something to do with that, 3/3 boots now and the mic is registering, just can't use the kinect at the same time...

    I think I can exclude this option. The problem apears with a mic 7 month ago, (and with a second one I tried because this problem) and now with a new one, and in all 3 cases only in the Xbox app. All the 3 mic worked in Skype, Discord and TS.

    It seems the problem is just something with the Xbox app, als also tried a new installation, but that didn't chnage anything.
