    Okay so I plug in my mic into my controller on the screen it shows the microphone next to my picture but it's crossed out and nobody can hear me I can hear them but they can't hear me I cannot talk on the Games pubg Etc but if I go in and create a party I can talk to those that are in the party so what is wrong with my Xbox or is it the controller or is it a setting or or what I don't know?? Thank you very much for your time

    Hi John!

    To confirm, does the issue happen to any games you try to play? Or it's only specific to PUBG?

    Your controller shouldn't have any issue because the mic works fine in party.

    Try to check your Chat mixer:
    Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide.
    Select Profile & system > Settings > General > Volume & audio output.
    Under Advanced, select Additional options, and then select Chat mixer.
    Select one of the available options.

    Please make sure to perform a power cycle. Press and hold Xbox power button for 10 sec until it turns off. Unplug the power supply for 30 sec. Plug it back in and turn it on again.

    As i mentioned, there's no option to change this, it would depend on the headset, but, if his mic works and he is actually speaking, he can use the mic closer to his mouth and you should be able to turn his volume up on your party chat, as something must be picked by his mic unless it's not working at all

    This is why I mute my mic and set it on the floor. Unless I'm playing with a party.

    Thats what I'm doing.. the only thing I am doing different from playing keyboard/mouse is the controller itself. but when i plug it in every setting on the pc changes to controller mic. Even though the controller has no mic. So I go back through all the
    pc settings and xbox companion settings and change it back but the xbox game bar will not let me use the usb mic anymore. I have to unplug the controller and reset the pc to be able to use my mic again. when I start a party in the companion app it says my
    mic is working , but if i am in a party on that app for some reason I'm not in a party on the game bar... so if i start a party on the game bar the mic still doesn't work..
