We totally understand that you want to change the privacy settings of your account.

To change the safety feature for chats on Xbox, you can follow these steps:



1. Sign in to your Xbox account on the Xbox website.

2. Click on your profile picture in the top right corner and select "Settings".

3. Click on "Privacy & online safety" on the left-hand side.

4. Under "Xbox One/Windows 10 Online Safety", select "Customize".

5. Scroll down to "Communication & multiplayer" and select "View details & customize".

6. Under "You can communicate outside of Xbox Live with voice & text", select "Allow".

7. Under "You can see and upload community creations", select "Allow".



If you do not own an Xbox, you can try accessing the Xbox website on a different device or browser to see if the option appears.

Hello Hanska. I have had similar issues in the past. The only way I found was changing privacy settings for messages. Now every time I receive a message from someone I don’t know, it’s appears as a message request. I’ll provided a link that will give you a step by step to change the settings.

You won't be notified if your reports results in a ban. The enforcement team do look at reports and issue suspensions/bans, but it may take longer for some reports to actioned that others.

Anything that contains expletives, or uses sexual and racial harassment will always have action taken. You just need to be patient.

If someone sends you a message that breaks the Xbox Live ToS, all that is required of you is to report and block. Do not respond to these messages.

Regarding your issue, I recommend that you try checking your Microsoft account setting and try to unblock the settings that are causing this Manage Xbox online safety and privacy settings | Xbox Support.

If the issue persists please try checking the game support to see if this is an error message from the game itself.
