Messaging other gamers

Hi Fellow Gamers,

I've been trying to message people online for a month, but when I try to send it, it says there was a problem and to go to this website.

https://support.xbox.com/fix-messaging.

Although I did what it told me to do, I still couldn't message my friend

Can you help me with this problem?

Hey there, what platform are you trying to message on?

{Parity}

Try performing a hard reset EXACTLY like this. Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely.
Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes.
Plug the power cord back in and restart the console.

Thank you for posting here on the Xbox forums. Have you been able to send messages before? Does this issue only occur when messaging that specific person? If you haven't already, try sending messages straight from
Xbox.com

If the website gives you issues as well, let us know exactly what happens when you try to send the message
