    Messaging from xbox.com to xbox accounts stopped working


    I always send messages from xbox.com, but a while ago it stopped working. I figured you guys would fix it as some point, but it hasn't happened. The problem started about 3 months ago, when the console was updated.

    same problem here. i can receive messages from others but can not reply to them.

    error outputs:

    xbox: messaging is not working for your account... go to "support.xbox./fix-messaging

    xbox app: you are not allowed to message this group // + same message as from user above // + I have to do some adjustments in my account for online security or something like that.

    messaging from xbox.com does work.

    Messaging stopped working

    My messaging all of a sudden stopped working literally over night. I went to go and send a message and a message pops up saying check your account, messaging isn't working for your account. Go to
    Why Can’t I Send Messages from Xbox One or Xbox App? to get more information and see how you can fix it.

    I used the get more info tab on my Xbox which took me to the enforcement page which my account is absolutely fine.

    Messaged chat support and offered me zero help apart from the basic turn Xbox off etc, check nat type which is open.

    Can anyone offer me a soloution to fix this and why this has happened?

    That gamertag looks like a randomly generated gamertag. ie( If you sign into xbox.com with a Microsoft account email it will automatically generate a gamertag for the email account.)

    If you want to stop emails from xbox sign into xbox.com - select my account - then select Contact preferences. You can stop the emails there.

    If you want to close the account sign into account.live.com and select close. If it detects xbox billing and does not let you close check your billing and make sure there are no cards on file. Then if that is all clear go to answers.microsoft.com and message
    the error you receive there.

    This worked for me and hopefully it does for you, unfortunately chat support was unable to assist.

    Any how - if you are unable to access your messages on your Xbox App or your messages from Xbox.com there is currently a system message that is on your account that can be viewed on your smart device or xbox platform. I was unable to delete it while viewing
    it on the Xbox One, to work around this I went on smart glass through my tablet where I was able to delete the system message from my account. After I did this I signed out of the Xbox App on my PC and signed back in and BOOM, back to normal.

    I did not have to sign out of xbox.com, i simply clicked the link for messages and it was working as well.

    Can't see the message at all on xbox.com so can't reply to it there, it's still not updating and the last message it's showing is from June. Messages coming through ok, after weeks of not working not it seems the windows 10 app has stopped crashing, I just
