Messages not available on Xbox

I actually just solved this problem! I simply unplugged my xbox for a while then went back on it and it was fixed. Yeah I know I sound dumb for not trying that first. For the xbox app, i uninstalled it and reinstalled it and at first it didn’t work. It still did not let me access messages, but i deleted it and reinstalled it AGAIN and it worked. So simple I can’t believe I had trouble figuring it out… but then another problem came up, I’m not going to disclose it only because I am very frustrated right now I’d rather not.

Hello again everybody! Though I thought I had already solved this problem, turns out I did not. The same thing happened again. I’m not sure why or how but I’m attempting to fix it. I did what I did last time but it didn’t work. Right now I just held down the power button on my xbox then unplugged it and turned it back on, still did not work. Uninstalled and reinstalled the xbox app on my phone and it still won’t go back to normal. This is making me a bit frustrated because I’m texting someone through xbox and that’s our only source of communication. Can anyone help me with this problem?

However, before that, I would like to confirm if you followed the next procedure:

1. Remove your profile from the console.
Make sure to know your login credentials.

2. Perform a physical power cycle by disconnecting the power cable:

"Turn off your console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds, until it shuts down completely.
Unplug the console's power cable. Wait 10 seconds.

Important: Be sure to wait at least 10 seconds. This step resets the power supply.

Plug the console power cable back in.
Press the Xbox button on your console to turn it on."

3. Add your profile on the console and verify if you can see the messages.

This means that your Internet connection is going out randomly, such that connections are taking a really long time to complete, or having to retry a lot. If your Xbox is connected via WiFi, try connecting it via a wired connection.
