Message that LT button pressed

Purchased new Xbox controller to use on PC. Keeps stating that LT button is pressed when its not. Took it back and new one is the same.

We have tried with and without the cable. Connected controller to laptop and also shows as button pressed. Also did a clean boot.

Think will take it back and get money back.

Are you connecting the controller via Bluetooth or with a cable?
May I know if you tried to connect the controller to a different device like your mobile phone or other PC?

Meanwhile try to perform a clean boot in case a third party app is causing this inconvenience

Hmmm. I had the same issue what i did was it was a 360 message that never got fully received by the xbox one message box i'd check my 360 read any messages and try it from there. if the home doesn't update just press the RT-LT and Y buttons simultaneously
