    Hi,

    When I made my xbox one account i created a new account rather than reusing the same email and information as my 360 account because i initially was using my parents email. With backward compatibility being a thing now, I was wondering if there is anyway
    to merge or transfer my old saved data from my 360 account to my xbox one account. Im aware that as of now there is no way to merge accounts since 2013, but I was wondering if there is anyway to get my old xbox live saves so that when i play mw2 or other games
    I have all my old things. Also if not, will this be a feature added later on for people who share this same problem and who created different accounts when they switched over. Thank you for any help.

    Did you create an offline account on your 360? It also sounds like you created a new account on your One. If this is the case you can't merge the account data. If they are the same account then you should be able to sync all your achievements just fine.

    you can try to add your new account onto the old email and just use the new one as your primary .it might just work.

    you can try to add your new account onto the old email and just use the new one as your primary .it might just work.

    The problem is that I never linked my xbox 360 to my xbox live account, [...]. So I'm trying to link my xbox live account to my xbox 360, but all I get are error messages.

    My account is linked to my xbox one without any problems, but in order to save xbox 360 game data on my xbox one, I have to download my/a xbox 360 profile, which I can't do because my profile won't connect to xbox live.
    The problem is, since you used a Xbox One, your Microsoft Account is now already "occupied" with a Gamertag, so you can't use that Microsoft Account to bring your old Xbox 360 offline Gamertag online.

    You COULD create a new Microsoft Account to bring your Xbox 360 account online, but you won't be able to access the savegames with your Xbox One account, as Savegames can't be transferred between accounts.

    So depending on how much you already invested in your Xbox One account, you might try to bring your old Xbox 360 account online, and use that on your Xbox One, and start your Xbox One gaming history over, or you can abandon your Xbox 360 saves and just use
    your old account on the Xbox One to download your previous Xbox 360 digital games, and start these over with your new Xbox One account.

    Since it's not possible to merge Gamertag accounts, you will have to decide which account you wish continue to use for actual gaming, and which account you simply keep to claim license ownership for downloaded games.

    Unfortunately, there is no way to merge or transfer save files from one account to another. This is also the case for game achievements and other account-based data.

    You can not merge accounts so he would have to follow the steps in this
    Link     to turn an offline profile into a live profile then he would have to join gold on that profile for his saves to be put up to the cloud then he would be able to sign in with that profile on his xbox one and go into the game and it will synch the saves
    in the cloud with his xbox 360 profile that he now downloaded to the one and he would be able to continue on from there.

    But again he would not be able to merge the 2 accounts together.
