    Merging old gamertag to current Microsoft Account.


    Sorry for my English,

    This is my first time posting an opinion on this community,

    I hope that my bad writing won't hold back the expression.

    Here my situation,

    • My 10+ years gamertag is associate with Account A (@hotmail.com).
    • My primary is Account B (@outlook.com).
    • The gamertag is the only thing I care in Account A.
    • Account B is associate with many Microsoft services (Skype, M365, Azure...).
    • Account B have no gamertag or other Xbox services linked.
    • I have local backup of gamertag's profile, save files, and access to Account A.
    • My requirement is merging Account A's gamertag to Account B (Account B = Account B + Account A's gamertag).
    I'm terrified that linking a new gamertag to my primary account by any chance,

    so, I take extra caution when click into Xbox website.

    Assume that I'm not the only one attempting to switch back from Team PS,

    it would be an important feature to getting old customer return.

    Many of us are using a different account over the years,

    hoping there a way to using all services as in one account.

    There is currently no option to merge Microsoft accounts.

    Appears you wanted to merge the Gamertags of the other to your current one. That is impossible. You will have to stick with one GT as merging would not sound right in any way. Every GT has its own accounts and they cannot be merged.

    well you rename your old gamertag thereby freeing up the name

    (it is unknown how long before the name is free)

    then you cna change the name once its free

    (whenever the server allows it)

    but that is not merging accounts

    No nothing can be transfered between accounts or merge you must keep your old account

    Sorry no, it is not possible for Gamertags to be merged together. As for your old account, it may still be possible for it to be retrieved by Xbox Live Support, even if you do not remember the email address. You would need to call them for this to be looked
    into. But there is no way to merge two accounts together I'm afraid.
