    Merge or combine Xbox local profile with Xbox live profile


    My son( whose account is connected to mine as a child account) has a local Xbox profile with achievements etcetera. I created and linked a Xbox live profile for him to my own. How can I import his local profile into his Xbox live profile? I'm having issues trying to figure this one out

    Unfortunately you can't. It's not possible to merge accounts and nothing can be transferred between accounts.

    You can you gotta click join xbox live on the local profile and sign up this means the currently existing online profile cannot be merged with the offline profile

    OK, here is the scenario. The kids received an xbox for xmas. At the time we had no internet access so couldn't download the existing live profile. They played their games on the xbox local profile. They don't want to lose the progress on their local profile,
    but I can't see how to merge the two. I thought by giving them the same name that would be enough, but alas!

    Can someone tell me if there is a way to merge a local profile with an online profile, and if so, how do I do it?

    Merging/Combining Profiles...

    Nothing is transferable from on account to another including gamer score, game saves, ms points, subscription time or dlc. And nothing can be merged. If you want your offline account to be active on XBL then you will need to add
    a gold subscription to it.

    No, you can't merge a local profile with an already existing Xbox Live account, it is only possible to 'upgrade' that local profile to a new Xbox Live account. If you want to do that see the steps on this link:
