Merge accounts?

Hello and good afternoon (or morning),

Summary:

I accidentally have two Microsoft accounts. I want to have only one account with all my information, that I can sign in to with my Gmail address.

Detail:

Throughout the years I've had a few email addresses, and one of those was a Hotmail address that is now associated with a Microsoft account. However, that is not my primary email, and I wish I could close that account entirely. For this email, I'll refer to the Microsoft account associated with the Hotmail email address as "the Hotmail-based MS account".

My primary email is a Gmail account, which was used when setting up my current Windows computer. So now I have 2 Microsoft accounts accidentally. For this email, I'll refer to the Microsoft account associated with the Gmail email address as "the Gmail-based MS account".

I've tried to add my primary email address as an alternate email for the Hotmail MS account, but it doesn't show up anywhere in that account; and when I try to add it as an alias, it says it's already used, which is true because a seperate account was set up with that address.

Here's the trouble - I do not use the Hotmail address anymore. However it is associated to certain things like a Mojang account. So when I use my PC, which is logged in with the Gmail-based MS account, I don't have access to the same things that the Hotmail-based MS account does. Because of this, I am required to sign in with the Hotmail-based MS account on the PC. I don't know what repercussions this will have overall, but I'd rather I didn't have to do that.

Is there any way that we can consolidate the two accounts into one, once and for all? Since there is more associated with the Hotmail-based MS account, I'd like to retain that one, move any data from the Gmail-based MS account over to that one, close the Gmail-based account, and update the email on the Hotmail-based account to be the correct Gmail address, or at least be able to add it as an alias that I can sign in with.

I am happy to provide exact email addresses in a private thread. Two accounts with my name should come up in the database, though, with the same phone number, name, address....everything except the email.
