Mercenaries on Xbox One X Not Working

I have tried the uninstall/reinstall approach several times, I have tried contacting support via Twitter. When I try to launch the game, either I get a black screen which lasts until I close the game (5 minutes is long enough to wait), or I get a "dirty
disc" message.

I am beginning to think that the game was just not properly configured for the X, and the issue is being ignored. If you look at the reviews for the game, all of the 1 star reviews are due to this issue. Look at the 5 star reviews, and you will see that
many of them are rating the game based on playing it years ago on the original Xbox, not the backwards compatible program.

I've been trying for days, no reply via Twitter, which just makes me feel like I'm right when I say Microsoft isn't going to fix the issue, since it's working for people using the original Xbox One.

Hello, do you already performed a console power cycle? this will fix most of the times this kind of issues, here are the instructions in the following link:

Also will be good if you try with another Disc to see if the same message appears, or trying downloading the game if this is an option to you...

I would love to see both mercenaries games ( playground of destruction & world in flames ) come to xbox one i loved both games and on the new hardware they would be even more beautiful. Call of duty mw2 and mw3 with xbox one x enhancements would be mind-blowing
in my opinion and to be able to play all the older forza games ( 1-4) on xbox one would be breath taking

Mercenaries was such a great series and I so hope that one day we get a sequel. Games with gold in December had Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction which was fantastic to download. Had a lot of fun with it.
