Menu glitches on shutdown

Discus and support Menu glitches on shutdown in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; Hi. Everytime in try to close my Xbox down the cursor moves up and down and doesn't allow me to select turn off console. It can also do it on sub menus...     Menu glitches on shutdown


    Hi. Everytime in try to close my Xbox down the cursor moves up and down and doesn't allow me to select turn off console. It can also do it on sub menus when I'm trying to join party etc. I have to turn off manually. Tried a cache reset but not worked. Any
    ideas? Thx

    My Xbox is turned off, but it sounds like its on?

    This setting would be located in the Startup and Shutdown menu under System Settings/Console Settings

    Harddrive broken?

    unplug the hdd, fully shutdown console from the power menu in settings, start it back up, then do another full shutdown, then plug hdd in before starting up again, power on the hdd and then start console, if this does not work then the hdd may have gone
    completely.

    I can be this or a way to bring the settings menu functions to the home screen, such as the full shutdown of the console.

    Hey, it seems to be working now. After restarting multiple times. No everything always works normally. Thanks for the reply. One thing i noticed is when you change xbox settings to do full shutdown or quick shutdown the shutdown or restart buttons dont work in that menu. Everything else seems fine.

    Ok, i've found out what was the problem.

    If you "Turn Off" your Xbox by Pressing Xbox Button and take it afterwards from your power supply, the Disc-Bug will affect the Console with the next Start.

    To avoid this, you have to shutdown the Xbox from Power Settings and chose "Full Shutdown".

    I never realised before that "Turn Off" is not the same as "Full Shutdown".

    Maybe it would be a great enhancement, if "Full Shutdown" becomes avaiable on the Xbox Quick Menu.
