Media Player - Plays next file automatically?

Discus and support Media Player - Plays next file automatically? in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; I'm trying to figure out how to keep Media Player from playing all the files in a folder.     Media Player - Plays next file automatically?


    I'm trying to figure out how to keep Media Player from playing all the files in a folder. I only want it to play the file I tell it to, and when done with that file, STOP playing anything and return to the file menu. But I can't find any setting for controlling
    this behavior.

    Can someone please help?

    Consule sees PC, Won't Play Music

    Hey Everyone! Happy Holidays!

    Issue: XBOX sees PC. WON'T PLAY MUSIC CORRECTLY.

    PC Setup: Windows XP SP3; Windows Media Player 11.0.5721.5145

    What Works: XBox can see my PC.

    XBox plays Videos fine.

    XBox displays Photos fine

    XBox can see the MP3 files.

    PC plays MP3 files fine.

    What Fails: Won't play some files at all. Simply "hangs"

    Plays some music but completely distorted, slow speed. weird sounding.

    Installed Add-Ons: Optional Media Update

    Any ideas?

    Xbox One and its codecs.

    My 360 plays .mkv files but only through Windows Media Center and the file can't be over 4GB or it will stop being able to read the file mid play because of the buffer size.

    I'm not sure that you can stop it playing the next file, but if you separate files into folders it will only play whats in that folder.

    I can't believe that they would simply forget to add a method to control this behavior. You can control it on the 360 and you can control it on WMP. But not on the newest, squiffiest ONE?

    The Xbox (and other media devices) don't access your media files directly. Instead they use something called DLNA, which requires your PC to have indexed your media library.

    Then only the index is read by the Xbox (or other media players), and according to that index, you choose the files to play.

    If you moved files around, or the index became corrupted, the Xbox can't find the media files anymore.

    Please start the Windows Media player on your PC, and check that in that Media Player library, your media files are shown and are working correctly.

    If the Media Player can't locate your media, the Xbox 360 can't get to the media as well.

    I got it working. I had the Digital Media Renderer No driver found error.

    I then went into Windows Media Player. Under Stream I selected Automatically allow devices to play media. Then under Stream,
    More Streaming Options I made sure the Xbox One was allowed from the Windows Media Player, I right clicked on a movie/video in my library and selected "Play To" and then Xbox One. I heard the movie start.

    I went to media center on the xbox one and all files are now showing
