It isn't so much as you typing the letter f it was your intention. While you may not of spelled it out, the devs were not born yesterday, they know what you meant and what you wanted to say and also that you were trying to dodge the system.

Being a respectful community comes automatically when you don't engage in disrespectful (re)actions yourself. You might file for an appeal through xbox enforcement, but I have to concur with many other responders:

1. Don't participate/respond to harmful / malicious conversations
2. Report and/or block these players, so as to exclude them in your play and/or that of fellow players of good intent.

hi xbox i am very upset i just got banned for saying f off when all i said was f off and did not use the full word if you look closer into what happened you can see he was harassing me by making fun of me and calling me bad when i was just trying
to have fun so i reported hin 9 times and nothing happened although i get banned for saying a letter so i am confused

The worst thing you can do is respond in ange, this is what you should have done.

1: Report them.

2: Block them.

In doing this it vastly reduces your chances of every speaking or seeing that person again, also spam reporting a person may have actually hindered, just a thought.

I think you are missing the point. Anyone can report you if you upset them and its not like microsoft can tell the different between a report that is genuine instance of abusive behavior or someone trolling or being salty.

The letter F or even the full word may be fine on there own, but use it in anger or with malice and someone feel offended and report you.

Safest bet, just be respectful to everyone, and if someone gives you trouble, ignore them and report them
