Me and a lot of buddies are having major xbox party issues

I have a similar issue with xbox party's, buddy will message me telling him to join him and it doesn't even show he's in one.

I agree Az Xbox One party chat is excellent.

Yeah there are a lot of issues with the Party and invite functionality that is borderline broken.

I was chatting in a party with a buddy yesterday who was playing Dead Rising 3, while I was playing Ryse, and having him in the party made it impossible for me to play Multiplayer at all.

It would just load up a game showing him in there with me, even though he doesn't have the game, but there was no way to just search for a game with a random. All it did was try to invite him.

Me and my buddy are on the same wireless network and played earlier in a party. No issues here.

Thanks a lot for the reply but I dont think this is the issue.

so my buddy and i both have xbox and we usually just use party chat and we communicate fine there.

when we switch to game chat however, we can hear eachother anymore. And when we have a third player in game chat that player can hear the both of us but my buddy and i still cant hear/communicate eachother.

does that make sense?

so essentialy we have to be in party chat to communicate.
