Try reinstalling the Gaming Services app on your Windows 10 device:

- Right-click the Start button in the lower-left corner of the main screen, and then select Windows PowerShell (Admin).

- In the Administrator: Windows PowerShell screen, type the following command and press Enter:

get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers

- In the same window, type the following command and press Enter:

start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN

- Install the app on that page, and select Yes when you receive the User Account Control (UAC) prompt.

- Restart your device, and try to install the game again.

Hey! My name is Ali. I'm not sure if you still need help figuring this out or not--but here is what fixed it for me:

Go to the Microsoft Store on your PC. From here, check whatever account you are signed into.

If you are signed into a different account from what your Minecraft account is associated with, then sign out and sign back into your MC associated account.

Example:

I was signed into my Microsoft Store with the email "email1". However, my Microsoft account that had been associated with MC was tied to "email2"

So, I signed out of my "email1" email, and signed into my "email2" email in Microsoft Store. Then I booted up the MC Launcher again and it worked just fine.

However, if you are signed into the correct account, I suggest making sure all of your Windows's features are up to date (check in settings app), uninstall/reinstall MC launcher, and make sure there are no updates needed inside the Microsoft Store to the MC launcher itself.

The game license will be on your account permanently.

I was able to successfully start the down load for Minecraft for Windows via the Xbox app as well MC launcher from the Microsoft store so this problem may be inherent to Halo Wars 2.

I am not a part of Xbox or PC insider.

Yes I did purchase the game. I purchased it through the MC store if memory serves. When I originally purchased the game I was able to install and play it, however, I recently attempted to play it and it would CTD upon opening so I uninstalled and attempted to reinstall.

Just to confirm, you've already migrated your Minecraft account to a Microsoft account, correct?

Please make sure that you're using the correct Microsoft account where you migrated your Minecraft account. You may also review your email history and find the migration details to confirm your correct account.

If you have other Microsoft account, please try to check it as well.

Then try to reset your Xbox app and the Microsoft Store.

Check as well on your PC Settings > Accounts. Make sure it's your correct account that's signed in. Try as well to switch to a local user.

MC Dungeons was purchased post migration.

The account has achievements from MC Dungeons listed on Xbox profile, On my Mojang profile which lists the username on the website, lists MC and MC Dungeons as owned games. I can log into MC without trouble using the same account listed previously but MC Dungeons remains unable to be played or installed.

What I've tried;

* Logging in and out of Microsoft account from PC

* Removing Microsoft account from Xbox & Microsoft store

* Uninstalling & reinstalling Minecraft Launchers (Microsoft store, Mojang installer Windows 10/11 & Windows 8)

* Logging in on another device

None of which has been successful

At some point this account has owned MC Dungeons but it isn't listed on Microsoft's end, Only Mojang's end.
