May xbox update stops old controllers 1697

This afternoon directly after xbox update xbox one controller model 1697 stops connecting to the console over wireless.

connected usb cable and did upgrade but still not working wireless.

i have another controller working fine model 1708.

tried all solutions but seems my controller picked the right time to fail.

It may have been that the controller just picked that time to fail. It happens. I haven't had any problems with my older controllers.

All three of my controllers are older, one of them is a 'Day One' controller, and they all still work.

Not sure what the issue could be. Maybe try updating the controller while its connect with the wire.

Hey,

I have had similar issues before have you tried the replacing the batteries or doing an Xbox Power Cycle? Sometimes it helps just to reconfigure itself.

Yes, they do both drop at the same time. The controller is the one that came with the xbox.
