Maximum xbox one x internal storage

Hi guys,

I'm looking to upgrade internal storage of my xbox one x.

I know the ps4 pro supports a maximum internal storage of 4tb and I thought/assumed that the xbox one x would support a similar size so I bought a 4tb ssd.

I followed the instructions provided by videos of YouTube and disassembled my xbox one x, swapped out the internal drive with a 4tb ssd and reinstalled the os using osu file one via on offline update as outlined on the xbox support page.

By in large, all seemed to go well and the os was successfully installed and the xbox one x works fine. The only issue is that I now only have about 1.5 to of internal storage whereas I would have expected to have about 3.5/3.6bfor storage with the rest being partitioned for the os. So I've basically lost about 2tb of potential storage. Is this because the xbox one x only supports a maximum of 2tb of internal storage or do I need to use 3rd party partition scripts to try fix this?

Quick resume isn't a xbox one feature it's a series feature

You can expand the internal memory in a series x by using the xbox storage cards

As they are nvme

You cannot use a mechanical or ssd drive

How you checked you have enough space on the internal HDD?

Do you have an external HDD attached?

Do you upload on the DVR I beleive know there is a specific amount of storage allocated to each persons Xbox DVR storage. Once you are at the maximum any new recorded clips will cause the oldest unsaved
ones to be deleted.

An SSD provides more storage space not memory and yes you will be able to use it to store Xbox One and games for Xbox 360. Xbox Series X games are required to be on the internal SSD storage or the add on 1TB SSD storage that plugs into the unit.
