    Master Chief Collection Missing Content Error


    I purchased Halo: MCC the other day, but so far it's been completely unplayable. After installing, starting any game mode (single or multiplayer) results in a "Missing Content" error. The game is fully installed including all content from Halo: Reach according
    to the Microsoft Store, so I'm not sure what the issue is.

    I've tried:

    • Uninstalling and re-installing, ad nasuem
    • Uninstalling, resetting the Microsoft Store, restarting, THEN re-installing
    • Reinstalling XBox Game Services

    I've seen a couple of other forum posts with this issue that were apparently due to a difference in language settings, but I'm in the US and all my defaults are English so I don't think that's it.

    Any help is appreciated.

    The problem seems to come from a faulty sync of your Microsoft account's rights and permissions. The solution: (1) log out of the Windows Store, (2) log in to the Windows Store, (3) launch the Halo MCC. In my case, I've also logged out of my Windows session after (1), launched the game before (2) and the relaunched the game after (2). It solved the problem.

    Hey, thanks for the reply. This is indeed on Windows 10, with the game purchased/downloaded through the Microsoft Store.
