Mass Effect Game Save Doesn't Show On Xbox 360 from Xbox One

I was told to post this in here by a rep that I spoke with in a chat.

Anyway, it seems they've been getting a lot of BC Game Save complaints and I have one more to add. I checked the first 11 pages in this section and didn't see any threads that addressed my specific issue so I figured I'd start a new one and see if anyone
else ran into the same issue.

I played through Mass Effect as a BC title on my Xbox One and I wanted to continue the trilogy with ME2, but it's not BC (yet) so I have to play it on my Xbox 360. That's not a big deal, but when I went to use ME2's ME1 Character Importer it didn't show
my game save from ME1 that I played on my Xbox One. I went into my Xbox 360's Settings > Storage > Cloud Storage settings just to confirm that the save was actually saved to the Cloud and it was so it should have shown up, but when I try to import the save
the file isn't available in my Cloud Storage or from my HD even after I copied/moved the save to my Xbox 360's HD.

I have been searching for an answer for almost 3 hours now and to no avail. I spoke with a MS rep via chat and they weren't much help outside of saying they were receiving a lot of complaints about game saves in general and that I should post my issue here.
I cleared my cache multiple times, removed my profile and redownloaded it, disconnected and reconnected to WiFi and still my save wasn't showing up.

Outside of thinking that BC is having issues with game saves, I don't know what else I can try to see if it'll work. I thought that maybe it was a game-related issue at first and that maybe I had too many character saves, but I removed some and added my new
save and it still didn't show so I'm thinking it has to do with the BC process.

Let me know if anyone has had similar issues and if anyone has resolved this as well as anything anyone has tried to try to resolve it.

Mass Effect: Error Importing Xbox One Save to Xbox 360

Hi,

I am playing Mass Effect on Xbox One via Backwards Compatibility. I want to use my Xbox One save on the Xbox 360 so that I can get the "End Game" save and import that into Mass Effect 2.

When I choose "Cloud Storage" on the Xbox 360 I can see the Career from my save, but no actual saves. When I choose "Resume" I get the error: "Cannot find previous Save Game to resume. Returning to Main Menu"

If I go back to the Xbox One, I can resume just fine.

Hi, the issue is to do with the game itself. On the Xbox 360, the game always saved the last save to the xbox 360's cache, and if you emptied the cache the save would also get deleted. I'm assuming that Mass Effect has done something similar on the Xbox
One. Your only option is to play the game again on the xbox 360 from the save you have, then finish the game, Mass Effect should then save again at the end of the game, and you should be able to import it to Mass Effect 2.

Hey there, Vx GeNiO! This should work the way that you are describing. You should be able to load your saved game into the importer. Because of all the troubleshooting you've done, it seems like this is a bigger issue. I suggest filling out the survey listed

No sorry it is not possible to transfer your mass effect 2 pc game save to your xbox 360, for the purposes of carrying on the game in mass effect 3

Did you play the game on a real Xbox 360 before you transferred it, or did you play it on the Xbox One already?

If it was played on the Xbox One, start Mass Effect 1 again, make a proper save, if necessary, do the transfer again, and then after the game has saved, go to the Xbox One Start screen.

Press the Menu button on the Main Game tile with Mass Effect and choose "Quit".

Since Xbox 360 games don't have the concept of being suspended like real Xbox One games, the game "thinks" it's still running, and won't finish the save and upload.

You need to quit out of the game to have it properly saved on the Xbox One.

I was under the understanding that MASS Effect saved games cannot be transfered to another console via the USB method due to the "hidden files" issue, it's a problem if your intention is to import that saved game to MASS Effect 2 on another console, it's
also a problem if that "other" console doesn't have the same DLC installed as the original one that crafted the saved game, the only sure way to transfer a MASS Effect saved game to another console problem-free is with the 360 Data Transfer Cable and a license
transfer, I'm sure someone will come on and correct me if I'm way off here...
